Join THE
THING Quarterly and the Kadist Art Foundation for the San
Francisco album release of Songs on Conceptual Art, a project
organized by artists Crystal Baxley and Stefan Ransom. The album is
comprised of original songs inspired by John Baldessari’s 1972 video,
Baldessari Sings LeWitt, and by Sol LeWitt's seminal document,
Sentences on Conceptual Art (1969). The event will take place as a
one-night concert featuring performances by Sun Foot, Dragging an Ox
Through Water, SAFE, Jib Kidder, and Boron, and will feature a limited
edition poster for the show, made in collaboration with MacFadden &
Thorpe.

Since July of 2012, Bay Area based visual
artist, Nathan Lynch
has been working with THE THING Quarterly to create the perfect cup for
espresso or cappuccino. Each cup is made by hand (not thrown on a
wheel), so the result is earnest and unique. We now have 45 plus cups
that have been
on display in our office for the past 6 months, and visitors have been
filling out surveys in an effort to supply vital information for the
perfect cup... and Nathan keeps making them. Come
out and help us celebrate the logical end of the Nathan's project and
find the perfect cup for yourself this Saturday night.
