Our first project in the SASE series (Self Addressed Stamped Envelope) is completely sold out. SASE #1 is by Bay Area based Visual Artist Suzanne Husky. IT IS A DOUBLE SIDED POSTER THAT WAS AVAILABLE FOR FREE to the first 80 people who send a standard sized, self addressed stamped envelope to THE THING's studio before the end of August. SASE #1 was launched in conjunction with Triple Base Gallery in San Francisco on Friday August 20, from 7:00-9:00PM.

SASE is an ongoing project of THE THING where we commission artists to produce posters that must fit within a standard envelope and are free and available to anyone who sends us a SASE. Over the next year, we will announce three other SASE contributors. This project is made possible by Southern Exposure's Alternative Exposure Grant and the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts.
