SASE #3, entitled "A Machine for Typographic Generation" is a framework for creating letters and numbers. It was born out of an interest in the combination of systems design and the idiosyncrasies of hand work.

About the Designer:
Tim Belonax is a San Francisco-based graphic designer, writer, and advocate whose work for nonprofits and corporations has been recognized internationally. He has studied design at CalArts and the Rhode Island School of Design. Tim was a design fellow at Chronicle Books before working at the design office mine™. He's a member of the socially-driven design group, Project M and currently works at Facebook. More info on Tim can be found here.

About SASE:
SASE is an ongoing project of THE THING where we commission artists to produce posters that must fit within a standard envelope and are free and available to anyone who sends us a SASE. In the we will announce our final SASE project contributor. This project is made possible by Southern Exposure's Alternative Exposure Grant and the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts.
